Ansford Academy invested in a Persona Life Skills e-learning subscription as a whole school wellbeing solution, initially for 240 students.

Ansford Academy, an age 11-16 secondary school in Somerset, UK, centres its approach around student wellbeing and agency. In September 2020 the headteacher and leadership team were looking for a whole school wellbeing resource that would help them progress with this mission.

Ansford Academy invested in a Persona Life Skills e-learning subscription as a whole school wellbeing solution, initially for 240 students.

In early November 2020 Ansford devoted half a day of curriculum time for Year 9-11 students to start using Persona Life Skills. 60 teachers used Persona Life Skills themselves in a CPD session, before introducing it to students. Persona Life Skills has been integrated into the PSHE curriculum and is taught regularly. Personalised follow-ups are done in tutor groups.

79% of students reported achieving the targeted learning outcomes after their first three modules.

Headteacher Shonogh Pilgrim said, “There is no greater gift we can give to our students than the skills to truly know themselves. Persona is a great way to give that gift.”
