Impact Study undertaken for the geog.123 Key Stage 3 Geography course

The Impact Study undertaken for the geog.123 Key Stage 3 Geography course identified the impact of the course and resources on students’ preparedness for the demands of geography at GCSE level.

Teachers who took part in our Impact Study told us that the course:

  • Impacts positively on learner preparedness for GCSE
  • Motivates students
  • Consolidates students’ knowledge and understanding of Geography
  • Helps learners to develop key geographical skills

“It’s a positive impact because the information is fantastic as the building blocks, the basics, the knowledge they need to move on to GCSE, and it’s also very good at enthusing the kids.” Mike Edmondson, Head of Geography (on developing knowledge and understanding)

Kerboodle resources were deemed to have a high level of impact by many participants. The interactive nature of the resource was found to be engaging for students, helping to promote interest in the study of geography at GCSE level.

“I really appreciated the way they stimulated the students’ interest in the subject, provided me with schemes of learning, enabled me to differentiate and adapt assessments to suit the needs of the class.” NF, Head of Humanities (feedback on Kerboodle)
