ReallySchool – Primary Classroom Observation and Assessment

Low-cost, secure and easy to use, ReallySchool (app and online portal) helps teachers and TAs to capture and assess EYFS and primary pupils’ learning and development quickly and effectively – while boosting parental engagement and supporting the continuation of learning at home.

Teachers and TAs can capture photos, videos and audio clips to provide key evidence of learning as it happens and assess against a range of different frameworks (which can be changed on the fly), subjects, learning areas and age bands in one observation – as well as selecting and changing the number of pupils taking part.

Student learning journals and a wealth of reports display the progress of pupils, classes and year groups, helping school leaders to monitor whole-school teaching and learning.

To help support children learning at home, teachers can send out home learning activities and guidance directly to the parents’ version of the ReallySchool app. They can also use badges to acknowledge pupils’ achievements, which can also be shared with parents to celebrate their success.

Using the parent app, parents can create their own observations of home learning to share with the teacher and support the continuation of learning.

To support time management and planning, teachers can set the date and time of an observation in the past or schedule observations for the future.

To keep pupils safe and support safeguarding in schools, teachers can use smiley stickers when sharing their photos. These can be placed over pupils’ faces to protect their identify – especially helpful in group photos.
