If your school has children with EAL, SEN or New Arrivals, then this Dual Language eBook Library is for their homes and your school. Mantra Lingua are happy to provide free access to the library for three weeks during this COVID19 crises. The Kitabu eBook Library is for the entire family, since it’s primary function is to help users to improve their English, through stories – folk tales, myths, contemporary stories in multi-cultural Britain, and reference books. Age ranging from 3 to 14 (or more for those who want to enhance their reading). Listen first in home language, then watch the video in English, then listen to the highlighted English text. Activities for vocabulary building include flash cards, labelling, etc. With dyslexic friendly fonts and audio narration, the library would also be for SEN children.

Access to the eBooks is very easy, and there are video instructions to get the maximum benefit from the library in English or the Home Languages.

We use a multi-modal approach so a story comes as ebook, a physical picture book and wordless picture cards for our Kamishibai Desktop Stage.

Until school re-opens, children could enjoy the stories at home. Later at school, they may wish to use our PENpal device to record their re-telling on every page of the physical book and then build confidence in performing via the Desktop Stage. The languages are English with French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Italian (MFL); English with Arabic, Bengali, Cantonese, Farsi, Hindi, Panjabi, Russian, Romanian, Urdu and many more.
