The Future of Flipped Learning

Century has been implemented at Streetly across all of the core subjects at KS4. We saw initial success particularly in science where students who engaged actively with the product were shown to consistently out perform teacher predictions. Over time as more staff have seen the full potential of the product first hand it has continued to grow and expand rapidly. The biggest impact has been to allow students to truly chose their own learning pathway recommended through the software. We have numerous cases of students spending in excess of 1 or 2 days of focused study on a single subject discipline across the academic year.

Overall the platform has allowed us to generally push independence with the students whom otherwise struggle to get started and create a sense of competition which is really positive for students. We have recently began developing specific courses for our SEND students who need early intervention in KS3 and utilising it to support our academic coaches and students in respite.

The analytical information you gain from the platform is incredibly powerful to help forward plan your lessons to truly address where students misconceptions and skills deficits lie. This coupled with the powerful conversations that can be had with parents to unpick students areas to improve and study habits is invaluable. All in all I would wholeheartedly recommend this product to any school as a must for education tech.

Students really enjoy the platform and the vast amount of content it has to offer. Students in lesson are constantly saying 'I learnt x on Century' or 'On Century they said y' so the algorithms are improving their content retention.

As a teacher, I also find this extremely helpful - it's easy to use and makes data tracking a lot quicker. I have been able to target students for intervention, amend short-term and medium-term plans based on what students struggle with and check homework before lessons so it doesn't waste valuable learning time.

All the people who work for Century have been extremely helpful, from our account manager, to the ex-teachers who come in and train students and staff on the platform: they are always keen and available to support.

I have really enjoyed using CENTURY so far, as do my students. You can rely on the artificial intelligence behind the platform to personalise a learning pathway for each student in school.
My favourite part of using CENTURY is the data. It is so easy to get a detailed insight into how your classes are doing. There are no spreadsheets, no data entry, no marking. Nugget and question level data mean you can effectively use your time targeting which students need more challenge or support, in specific topic areas.
